Welcome! Hobson Cooperative Nursery School was organized in 1964 by a group of parents who wanted to provide the best possible nursery school experience for their three and four year-old children and for other children in the community. In 1978 the first parent-child class for two year-olds was added to the school's program. Hobson is a private, Illinois not-for-profit corporation and is licensed by the State of Illinois and complies with the licensing regulations for childcare centers. Many school policies were developed to meet these regulations.
In 1988, Hobson became the FIRST preschool in Naperville-and among the first in Illinois-to be awarded accreditation by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs (a division of the National Association for the Education of Young Children). We take great pride in maintaining the rigorous standards that allow us to retain this accreditation from our early childhood professional organization.
We are currently in the process of re-accreditation.
